About Spencer Family Chiropractic
How it all started
Spencer Family Chiropractic was opened in Gloucester in 2005 with a simple goal: to provide thoughtful, individualized chiropractic care rooted in science, biomechanics, and real-world results.

Dr. Nate Spencer became a chiropractor in 2002 after graduating from Life University in Marietta, Georgia. His path to chiropractic care began as a patient—after developing neck pain at a young age and experiencing firsthand how effective chiropractic treatment could be.
Around the same time, Dr. Spencer was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. That diagnosis shaped how he viewed health moving forward and reinforced his belief in a holistic, whole-body approach to care. Chiropractic aligned naturally with that philosophy, focusing on function, balance, and long-term health rather than short-term fixes.
Since moving to Gloucester in 2002, Dr. Spencer has built a practice rooted in trust, education, and personalized care for patients of all ages—from children to seniors.

Our Philosophy
Chiropractic care isn’t just about pain—it’s about how your body functions as a system.
Pain is often the last symptom to appear and the first one people notice. Our role is to identify what’s contributing to that pain and help correct the underlying issue whenever possible.
We focus on:
-
Spinal health and biomechanics
-
Posture and movement patterns
-
How the spine affects the nervous system
-
Long-term function and stability
